1. Introduction

Our website, https://www.eurovinil.it (hereinafter: “the website”), uses cookies and other related technologies (for convenience, all technologies are referred to as “cookies”). Cookies are also placed by third-party services used within the Website.

2. What are Cookie?

Cookies are text strings that websites (so-called Publishers, or “first parties”) visited by the user or different websites or web servers (so-called “third parties”) place and store – directly, in the case of publishers, and indirectly, i.e., through them, in the case of “third parties” – within a terminal device available to the user. The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as an IP address, a username, a unique identifier, or an email address, but they can also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a person is using to browse the site.

Cookies can therefore perform important and diverse functions, such as tracking sessions, storing information about specific configurations concerning users accessing the server, facilitating the use of online content, etc. They can, for instance, be used to keep track of items in an online shopping cart or the information used to fill out a computer form.

On the one hand, it is through cookies that it is possible to allow, among other things, web pages to load faster, as well as route information over a network – thus in line with functions strictly related to the operation of websites. However, through cookies, it is also possible to deliver behavioral advertising and then measure the effectiveness of the advertising message or tailor the types and methods of services rendered to the behaviors of users previously observed.

3. Cookie

3.1 Technical or functional cookies

These are used solely for the purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, also the Privacy Code).

The use of such cookies and other technical identifiers does not require prior consent from users, while the obligation to provide information under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 remains in effect, which the website operator may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.

Profiling cookies (statistical – marketing and tracking)

Used to attribute specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the functionalities offered (patterns) to certain identified or identifiable individuals, for the purpose of grouping different profiles into homogeneous clusters of varying sizes, so that the owner can, among other things, tailor the service offering more and more personally, beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the service, and send targeted advertising messages, i.e., in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the network.

Due to the particularly invasive nature that such cookies can have within users’ private spheres, European and Italian law provides that the user must be adequately informed about their use and thus express valid consent.

4. Consent

When you visit the website for the first time, we will display a banner with an explanation of the cookies used by the site. By clicking on “Save preferences,” you consent to the use of categories of cookies and plugins as described in this policy. You can disable cookies – except those necessary for the proper functioning of the site – at any time.

5. Enabling/disabling and deleting cookies

Each user can modify the use of cookies by adjusting the settings of the browser in use.

The user is enabled to modify the default configuration and, by setting the highest level of protection, disable all cookies permanently. However, it is important to note that this setting may render the Site unusable if cookies essential for the correct delivery of functionalities are blocked.

The methods to block or delete cookies from your device vary depending on the type of terminal (PC, smartphone, etc.) and the type of browser used.

Below are links to instructions for the most common browsers:

Disabling all cookies on our website may result in navigation errors or general issues. Deleting cookies from your browser will cause them to be reinserted after the consent is provided when you visit our website again.

6. Transfer of personal data

The personal data collected through cookies – i.e., installed by our website – on the website are not transferred outside the European Union. In any case, it is understood that, where necessary, personal data will also be transferred to non-EU countries, ensuring from now that the transfer will take place in compliance with applicable law provisions and, if necessary, entering into specific agreements that ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data or otherwise adopting the standard contractual clauses provided by the European Commission for the transfer of personal data outside the EU.

With particular reference to the transfers of personal data carried out through third-party cookies, please refer to the respective data processing policies at the links indicated in point 6 of this Cookie Policy.
